Samsung Galaxy S21 Review: Overall Features

Samsung Galaxy S21 is one of the latest Samsung 5G phones and it costs Rs. 69,990 for the 128GB and the 256GB storage options. Despite having a full-HD+ display, Samsung didn't restrict the Galaxy S21's performance. There is plenty of contrast on the AMOLED displays of these smartphones. 

As far as Samsung galaxy s21 camera specs are concerned, Three 12-megapixel cameras are available: an ultra-wide angle camera, a wide angle camera, and a telephoto camera with 64 megapixels. A 10-megapixel front camera is available for selfies.

Samsung Galaxy S21: Individual Features

Build

Galaxy S21's front panel looks much like the Galaxy S20's, with a pop-up selfie camera in the top middle of the display. In comparison to its predecessor, the S21's display has flat edges instead of curved.

Samsung's new Galaxy S21 has flat edges that flow into the "Contour Cut" camera design, where the back camera appears to blend into the left-hand edge as well as the left-hand side of the phone.

The biggest change, however, is the transition from metal to plastic on the Samsung Galaxy S21. Polycarbonate is a fancy name for plastic, but it's actually just fancy plastic, while the S20 uses glass. The Galaxy S21's plastic back is probably the main reason for Samsung's cheaper price. While the absence of a glass back might seem strange for a flagship phone, I wasn't disappointed to discover that it didn't feel cheap. As well as feeling a little nicer than polycarbonate on the back of the S20 FE, the back is also more tactile than the glass-backed Galaxy S models, meaning you are less likely to drop the phone or get fingerprints on it. When paired with Samsung Galaxy S21 5g case, it looks even better. 

Galaxy S21 is a bit smaller and lighter than Galaxy S20, but a little heavier. However, we think its size and weight are ideal for one-handed use; it's small enough to reach the display with our thumb while remaining large enough to sit and watch videos for hours. With Qualcomm's new scanner, the Galaxy S21 uses a 1.7x larger and 50% faster ultrasonic fingerprint reader.

Display

The Galaxy S21's 6.2-inch AMOLED display is both downgraded and upgraded from the S20's. As with the Galaxy S20, you are no longer forced to choose between full HD+ or QHD resolution, but the S21 tops out at 1080p resolution.

If you want to get the most battery life out of your device, or if you enjoy a little judder when browsing through web pages, you can set the display to 60Hz. If you did that, you would lose the S21's dynamic refresh rate, which allows it to adjust its refresh rate between 120Hz and 48Hz according to the task. When you're not scrolling, you won't necessarily notice this upgrade, and we don't give you wrong info through this Samsung Galaxy S21 review, but it is an upgrade that quietly makes the S21 easier to use, out of all the Samsung 5g phones.

Camera

There is no difference in hardware between the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S20 cameras. Samsung galaxy s21 camera includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and is used along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with a 3x hybrid optic zoom and 30x space zoom.

Samsung, however, is adopting a Google-like approach and trying to improve the three rear cameras through software improvements. It is mostly successful with the Galaxy S21. Video-wise, the Galaxy S21 delivers a lot of value. In addition to the 8K capture at 24 fps, it also allows you to capture very high-resolution videos as well as high-quality photos. In addition to 1080p video recording at 120 frames per second, they are also super-smooth. For smoother video capture, the Super Steady mode will utilize artificial intelligence to compensate for shaky recordings at 1080p 60 fps.

Battery and Performance

A 4,000mAh battery is included with the Galaxy S21, just like its predecessor. It's a pity Samsung didn't add more battery space for a phone of this size, though. At least Samsung improved the chip efficiency and adaptive refresh rate for improved battery life. 

According to Tom's Guide, the Galaxy S21 achieved 9 hours and 53 minutes of battery life in a continuous web browsing test with 150 nits of screen brightness over 5G at 60 Hz.

There is a redesigned Quick Panel and a notification screen that feels less cluttered in the new interface. Particularly pleasing are the redesigned lock screen widgets and the ability to customize the transparency of widgets.
