Lenovo Ideapad 330 Design

The polished aluminum paint with a monochrome colour scheme gives a subtle metallic feel to the body of the laptop, giving a luxury feel. It's a light weight laptop weighing just 2.2 kg. The touchpad is big enough but its sensitivity is a little lower. The keyboard is quite user friendly and is comfortable for everyday use. It holds hinge-less design as it has the ability to open at any angle between 0-180 degrees.It is available in Platinum Grey, Blizzard White, Midnight Blue, Chocolate and Onyx Black colour. The company claims that this laptop doesn't have the hinge breaking issue that many other laptops commonly face. The speakers are loud enough for listening to music and watching movies.

Lenovo Ideapad 330 Display

A 15.6-inch full HD IPS display which is non-reflective that attracts fingerprints quite easily. Display brightness is fine for daily use, but using it on outdoors regularly, the brightness is disappointing. The viewing angles are quite good. Colors are not too sharp and the text is legible even if the display is pushed back completely. It also comes in another display option of 15.6 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. The anti-glare coating on the display eliminates the reflection of light.

Performance is the most important aspect of a laptop. This laptop has a configuration of 1.1GHz (Turbo upto 2.4GHz) Intel Celeron N4100 processor, 4GB of RAM and integrated Intel HD 600 graphics card. The processor of this laptop has a configuration up to Up to 8th Gen Intel® Quad Core i7-8550U.

The Ideapad 330 provides a GPU up to NVIDIA GTX 1050 with a memory from 2GB to 4GB. NVIDIA GTX 1050 would be most suggested for gamers and other heavy users.The laptop also comes with a GPU upto AMD Radeon 540 with a memory of 2GB equipped with an onboard Intel HD 620 Graphics chip.

Lenovo Ideapad 330 Keyboard and Touch pad

The laptop has a chiclet-style keyboard where the keys are quite well spaced with a good grip and are designed flat which enables comfortable typing. The keyboard is not featured with backlighting.The touchpad has the same color as the rest of the devices and is positioned slightly towards the left but suitable for inputs gesture control. This works fine and even support multi-touch gestures.

Lenovo Ideapad 330 Ports and Storage

The laptop holds an abundance of ports. You can find a USB Type-C 3.1 port and two USB 3.0, an HDMI port and an SD slot. The SD card is to extend the system storage, as well be used for transferring media to SD cards. IdeaPad 330 comes with two 2W speakers that work with Dolby Audio. The speakers are quite friendly enough in indoor spaces but in outdoor spaces its not that loud enough. For better audio experiences while watching movies or videos, an external set of speakers or headphones are suggested.

Lenovo Ideapad 330 Battery Life

All the laptops including the basic laptops look for a long battery life. IdeaPad 330 provides 3 battery variants viz 30Wh, 35Wh, and 45 preferably for light users,medium users and heavy users. You can choose from any three where 30Wh battery variant has a battery life of 5.5 hours and 35Wh variant gives you 6 hours on a full charge. After all, the battery life depends upon its usage.


The Lenovo Ideapad 330 laptop comes under a top-value laptop that offers great features and good components at a reasonable price. You get a good processor but it needs a good GPU to handle the graphics stuff. This model is best suited for students and other light users. For business purpose, choosing Lenovo Thinkpad 7480 would be a wise choice than choosing Lenovo Ideapad 330.
