The display screen is secured by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and the selfie camera is centered at the top of the display. The frame that holds the display and the rear panel is made out of aluminum material. Now let us see the back panel. The rear camera is housed inside a rectangular module at the top left corner of the rear panel. The flash is also placed inside the module. Ditching the little old-fashioned vertical camera panel for the rectangular panel which is seen widely in modern smartphones is a great upgrade as far as the design is concerned. Had the phone had waterproof and dustproof certification it would have been the icing on the cake.

Though the clarity will drop slightly when you zoom in the pics. Galaxy Note 10 Lite has the ability to record up to 4K videos at 60fps and slow-motion videos at 240fps. Thanks to the Optical Image stabilization, the videos don't get shaky. Video performance in both bright light and low-light is impressive. However, when you compare, the low-light videos are a wee bit down. Modes like hyperlapse and timelapse too will work seamlessly without shaking. You also get a Super steady mode which reduces the shakes in videos further and it allows you to edit the video. Just the like rear camera, the selfie camera also performs well in every environment. When we look at the overall performance of the camera, it is quite impressive at this price range.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite – Performance

• Chipset: Samsung Exynos 9 Octa 9810
• RAM: 6GB / 8GB

You will not face any problem with the performance of Galaxy Note 10 Lite. The device is equipped with Exynos 9810 chipset which is from Samsung itself. The same chipset is seen in some older models of Samsung. The CPU is octa-core and the graphics are powered by the Mali-G72 MP18 graphics processor. This chipset delivers seamless performance and the high-end 6GB/8GB RAM lends a big hand in boosting the performance. Whether it be navigation, or opening or closing apps Galaxy Note 10 lite works pretty well. You can play games like PUBG and Fortnite without any lag. And then there is S-Pen which can be ejected smoothly from the slot with just a press. S-Pen is usable for drawing, navigating, etc. Furthermore, you can capture images with the button on the S-Pen. Overall, you will not be disappointed with the performance.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite – Battery

• Capacity : 4500mAh

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite – Variants

Samsung offers Galaxy Note 10 Lite in three colors. Aura Glow, Aura Black, and Aura Red. There is no hectic competition between the colors. All the colors equally give the phone a rich and elegant look. The colors are attractive that it makes the spectator wow if you hold it in your hand. Coming to the storage and RAM, Galaxy Note 10 Lite comes as a 6GB/128GB variant and an 8GB/128GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite – Price

Compared to the smartphones in a similar configuration, the price of Galaxy Note 10 Lite is pretty fair. The 6GB/128GB variant is priced at Rs.35,990 and the 8GB/128GB variant is priced at Rs. 38,999.

Summary

There are many good smartphones in this price segment and Galaxy Note 10 Lite is clearly a strong contender. An impressive display, good performance, and a whopping battery make it a priceworthy smartphone. Spicing up the versatility is the S-Pen by which you can do a lot. Unlike the other note phones, Galaxy Note 10 lite will be bought by wider customers as it is priced affordably. If you are hunting for a flagship, Galaxy Note 10 Lite is an ideal choice. A compact digital camera is handy enough to carry around and you can capture pretty decent photos with it. But, unlike DSLR camera it is not versatile. You cannot take multiple types of images without dropping the quality. This is another vital reason that makes DSLR camera distinct. In DSLR camera you get the provision to take any kind of images like close-up shots, long shots, etc and you can get it in the best quality. The lenses of it can also adjust automatically to the situations. Some manufacturers offer extra lenses by which you can do a lot more. Professional photographers normally use a different variety of lenses to make their photos even better. Some manufacturers offer lens with the camera itself. What the lenses of a DSLR camera are capable of doing cannot be done with the lenses of other cameras.

3. Accessories

DSLR Camera is flexible as it can be equipped with a wide variety of accessories from external flashes and lens to triggering devices and wireless transmitters. Some of the accessories have further kinds. For instance, take lenses. As said earlier there are different kinds of lenses for taking different shots. If you want to capture photos of something far away, then you can go for a telephoto lens which is usually used by sports and wildlife photographers. Likewise, wide-angle lenses can help you capture landscapes in a better way and prime lenses can be used for low-light photography. Equipping a flash with a tilting head can help you capture indoor photos shadow-free. For steady photos, a tripod can be used. Like this, there are numerous accessories that can help improve the photos.

4. TTL Viewing

TTL viewing refers to Through-the-lens viewing. TTL viewing shows the same view that of the lens that takes the picture. Which literally means, what you view is what you capture. The combination of Live view and digital view makes DSLR camera a special one.

5. Dust Removal System

Dust can sneak inside the camera body when we change the lenses. This dust can stay on the image sensor thus it can be damaged over time. As the interior gets exposed while changing the lens and the image sensor is fixed, the DSLR camera becomes vulnerable. Thanks to the technology, the dust in DSLR cameras can be tackled. The first company to implement a dust removal system was Olympus. They introduced a Super Sonic Wave filter that helps to shake off specks of dust. This technology was later adopted by various companies and it was developed. Presently, there is a well-developed technology in DSLR camera which does not just shake off the dust, it tackles it. There is also software that can spot the dust in the images and eliminate dust automatically

6. Quick To Focus

The focusing on DSLR camera is not only fast but also accurate. It precisely focuses on the subject. DSLR camera provides both automatic focusing and manual focusing as well which can be done with the help of the camera rings. The quick focusing lends a big hand in giving a steady shot of dynamic pictures like sports events, wildlife, etc. You can put your camera in the auto-focus mode so that it does the job appropriately or if you prefer manual focusing you can utilize the camera rings so that you can decide on what to focus.

7. Speed

The speed and responsiveness of the DSLR camera is another feature why many admire it. You will not come across any stutter while you use a DSLR camera, unlike the camera in phones or other devices. Press the power button and it gets turned on outright. It is fast enough to let you navigate through the images and settings seamlessly. Adding to that, you can capture continuously without any lag even with the basic DSLR camera. Thanks to the fast processors, you can view the image without any delay post capturing.

8. Low Light Performance

The low light performance of a DSLR camera is worth mentioning. Though some compact digital cameras and smartphones can capture decent photos in dim light, it cannot stand shoulder to shoulder with the low-light photos of the DSLR camera. The larger sensor installed in the DSLR camera is the main pillar in improving the low-light performance. To spice up the performance you can also equip the camera with suitable lenses. 50mm, 35mm, and 24mm lenses are some of the widely used lenses for low-light photography. The sharpness, the details and the brightness of a dim light photo get to a sufficient level automatically in the DSLR camera making it remarkable.

9. Diverse Settings

DSLR boasts multitudinous settings apart from the auto-mode. You can do a bevy of stuff with the settings. Normally a DSLR camera comes with a mode-dial that can be rotated to go to different modes. This mode-dial which is placed in the vicinity of the trigger button helps you to change different settings like the camera setup, shooting mode, autofocus mode, metering mode, lens aperture, shutter speed, ISO, image stabilization, etc. With all these settings you can do a lot more than just clicking images.

10. Low Battery Consumption

An extensive photography session can drain the battery of a smartphone or a compact digital camera. Varying from it, a DSLR camera can be used for long photography sessions as it consumes as less power as a wristwatch. The battery of a DSLR camera is distinct as it distributes power to only the needy components while usage, unlike other cameras.

In a nutshell, if you are passionate about photography it is better to go for a DSLR camera. Ensure you are buying the product of good manufactures like Canon, Nikon, etc. You can find some classy DSLR cameras and camera accessories at the best price at myG – the fastest growing online shopping in India.

OPPO F15 REVIEW - A STYLISH PIECE
08/02/2020

Oppo has stepped into 2020 by launching Oppo F15 which is a successor of Oppo F11. Oppo has brought some essential updates like an in-display fingerprint scanner, Quad-camera, and handy design. Priced at Rs.19,990, F15 competes against some impressive players like Realme X2, Poco F1, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Nokia 7.2. Oppo is determined to compete as they have equipped F15 with a thumping 8GB RAM, VOOC 3.0 fast charging and a 48MP quad-camera. Oppo has always focused on manufacturing phones with a premium design and F15 also falls into that category. Let us see in detail whether Oppo F15 is capable of thriving.

Key Specifications

• Chipset : MediaTek Helio P70
• Rear Camera : 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP
• Battery: 4025mAh
• RAM : 8GB
• ROM : 128GB
• Android v9.0 (Pie)

Oppo F15 – Design

• Weight : 172 g
• Dimension : 160.2 x 73.3 x 7.9 mm

The design of F15 is ergonomic as well as attractive. The official tagline of F15 says 'Flaunt it your way' because it is worth being flaunted. Oppo offers F15 in 'Unicorn White' and 'Lightening black' color variants and both the variants look striking. Unicorn white is more capable of hiding the fingerprints comparatively. The weight of 172g and the thickness of just 7.9mm is a highlight of F15 that makes it much handy. The edges of the phone are curvy and this makes it more comfortable to handle though the sides are a bit slippery with a glossy finish. The selfie camera is conveniently placed inside the notch at the top of the display panel. Coming to the rear side, the panel looks stunning with the glossy finish. Either side of the back panel is curved a bit to boost the comfortability. Both the whopping 48MP quad-camera and the elegant logo of Oppo is set vertically on the back panel. The former is at the top left corner and the latter at the bottom of the same side. The camera bumps a little bit but not too much. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the front screen but it is absent on the rear panel. Instead, the back panel is laminated. Coming to the ports, F15 boasts a headphone jack, USB Type-C port and a speaker on the bottom panel. The sim card tray with a dedicated slot for sd card and the volume buttons are placed conveniently on the left side and on the opposite side, the lock button is placed. The design in total gives it a premium look. Normally, phones with big display weigh a little but surprisingly F15 is light and slim.

Oppo F15 – Display

• Size: 6.4 inches

Just like any other Oppo phones, F15 boasts a stunning display. It flaunts a 6.4 inch AMOLED full-HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels. The display is a stupendous one capable of delivering sharp images. Even the high definition videos and games look sharp and compelling. The display is vivid in every aspect like the colors, sharpness of text and icons, etc. In every light condition, it gets sufficiently bright and legible. F15 features several options for display such as color temperature adjustment, Nightshield, Low-brightness Flicker-free Eye, etc. In a nutshell, the display of F15 is one of the best you could get in this price segment.

Oppo F15 – Camera

• Rear Camera: 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP
• Front Camera: 16MP

Oppo has bettered the camera compared to its predecessor Oppo F11. Equipped with a 48MP primary camera, 8MP wide-angle camera, 2MP portrait lens, 2MP monochrome lens, and a 16MP selfie camera, F15 is versatile as far as the camera is concerned. Though the camera app is similar to the normally seen app in other Oppo devices, it lacks certain features for selfie camera like super-steady video and Night mode.
The main camera lets you capture pretty detailed photos in daylight. The vividness and sharpness are fair enough to make the photos appealing and the noise is very less.

Talking about the wide-angle camera, it features autofocus that makes the images better in detail. With the wide-angle camera, you could also take close-up shots, otherwise known as macro shots. The macro images taken in Oppo F15 are also sharp and detailed. The wide-angle camera helps to spot the macro details on the subject when moved closer. The collaboration of wide-angle and macro enhance the convenience compared to the dedicated macro lens as you do not have to change the settings to wide-angle to macro or vice versa.

Just like other lenses, the Portrait lens is also capable of furnishing you with images with the best clarity. There is a provision to adjust the blur before taking a snap. Under good light, everything like edge detection, image quality, etc looks decent.

The landscape photos in low light lack a little quality and have a bit noise but the night mode can help you tackle these issues. However, it is unable to improve details vastly. Just like this, the wide-angle lens also gives similar detailed images in low light but the close-up shots in low light are better with respect to color, detail, and noise.

The selfie camera stands out regardless of the light condition. The skin textures are smoothened a little in the snaps but thanks to the HDR, it makes the photos better by representing the colors well. The night selfies are also made decent with the help of artificial light. However, the portrait in the front camera needs improvement despite being good. The video compartment is all good. The videos shot in all the lenses looks pretty decent with a maximum resolution of 1080p. The camera also features 2x zoom, 5x zoom, Timelapse, Panorama, Slow-motion, AR stickers, and Expert. In total there is nothing negative in the area of the camera.

Oppo F15 – Performance

• Chipset: MediaTek Helio P70
• RAM: 8GB

Though F15 packs a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset which is not the latest one, it performs impressively. The device does not heat during relentless camera usage and even while hectic gaming. F15 lets you play high-graphic games like PUBG smoothly but in medium graphic settings. In a slightly reduced graphics quality, you could play Asphalt 9 too seamlessly. To make your gaming stint uninterrupted, F15 features a game assistant that allows you to block notifications, etc. The thumping 8GB lends a big hand in tackling stutter. Moreover, you will not experience any lag during multitasking. F15 is also is quick to get unlocked through fingerprint and face recognition. Face unlocking works pretty well even in low light conditions. In total, you will be pleased with F15's performance.

Oppo F15 – Battery

• Capacity : 4025mAh

F15 is equipped with a whopping 4025mAh battery. With one charge you could use the phone for one day with extensive gaming and camera usage. Thanks to the VOOC 3.0 charging, F15 charges pretty fast. In just over an hour it gets charged to 100%. The battery in overall is good enough for the price of F15.

Oppo F15 – Variants

Oppo's offerings have often come in appealing colors and F15 also comes in captivating colors such as Unicorn White and Lightening Black. Though the former is named Unicorn white, it has a gradient of the purple and this color also allows to hide smudges and fingerprint, unlike the black variant. Both color variants give F15 a premium look. As in the storage and RAM, it comes in 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage as of now. Whether Oppo will launch a different variant is uncertain at the moment.

Oppo F15 – Price

Just like any other Oppo smartphones, F15 is also priced fairly at Rs.19,990 and it is available at the online and offline stores of myG.

Summary

In a nutshell, F15 is a decent upgrade over F11 and all the phones that come at that range. Everything from the design and display to the performance and battery is pretty good in F15. At this price segment and with these many features it is a good competitor for Realme X2, Poco F1, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Nokia 7.2. Order the Oppo F15 from myG and get it delivered the same day.

REDMI NOTE 8 PRO VS REALME XT COMPARISON
22/01/2020

Budget phones have become plentiful in the market and they have been bought widely by the customers. The budget phones before did not have much quality when compared to the budget smartphones running in the market presently. Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme XT have created a buzz in the town lately as they come at an affordable price while having quality specifications. Since they come in similar prices and specifications, there is a dilemma for the customers when it comes to selecting one of them. In this article, we compare the specifications of Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme XT to determine which one is better.

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs Realme XT - Design and Display

Both Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme XT have furnished with a design that gives them a flagship look. Build with a splash-proof material, the edges of both the phones are curved and the display is thin-bezelled. The back panel glass of both the phones is curved to give them a premium feel and look. The selfie cameras are placed well in the dewdrop notches that are at the top of both Note 8 Pro and Realme XT. Moreover, the front and back of both the phones are safeguarded with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The buttons are placed more conveniently in Realme XT. While the volume button and the lock button is placed a little high on the right side of Note 8 Pro, Realme has the lock button on the right side and volume button on the other side. Though both the phones come in quad-cameras, they are placed differently. While the camera is centered on the rear panel of Note 8 Pro, Realme XT has it placed on the right side of the rear panel. Redmi Note 8 Pro has its fingerprint scanner just below the rear camera but Realme has its scanner on the display. Both come in a dedicated SD card slot and dual Nano-SIM slots.

The USB Type-C ports are accompanied by the microphone, 3.5mm headphone jacks, and loudspeakers in the bottom panel of both the phones. Unlike Realme XT, Note 8 pro possesses an IR emitter at the top giving it a better functional edge over Realme. Maybe because of the differences in the battery, Realme XT weighs less (183g) than Note 8 Pro (200g). Though it is not that heavy to carry. There is nothing much to argue much when it comes to the design of Note 8 Pro and Realme XT as both of them have very similar characteristics.

Both Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme XT flaunt a large display of 6.53 and 6.4 inches respectively, that is good enough to give an immersive experience. However, the display type of Realme is Super AMOLED whereas the display of Note 8 pro is IPS LCD. Both phones can give a stunning picture quality as they have a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display has thin bezels and the screen to body ratio of Note 8 Pro is 91.4% and Realme Xt has 91.9%. Just like we said about design, Display features of Note 8 Pro and Realme XT also look stupendous.

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs Realme XT - Camera

Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme XT possess a very decent quad-camera. The combination of the cameras is also the same with a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. However, the selfie camera differs. Realme XT boasts a 16Mp front camera and on the other hand, Note 8 Pro possesses a 20MP selfie camera The camera application of both the phones looks good. Although, the camera app of Note 8 Pro is better as far as user-friendliness is concerned.

The camera in both phones is capable of giving crisp images and is quick to focus. Though the daylight photos of Realme give better details, the HDR is automatically enabled in a bright environment on both phones. There are budget phones, flagship phones, performance-centric phones, etc. Hence, the dilemma when buying a smartphone is unreal. So, it is better to understand the different aspects of the smartphones to create an outline of the phone you are looking to buy. It is better to keep a plan when buying a smartphone, else you will end up buying the wrong piece. Let us see what are things we have to consider when buying a smartphone.

1. Genuineness

The money spent will be a waste if you buy a fake phone masqueraded as a genuine one. So it is of utmost importance to ensure the genuineness of the smartphone you buy. But how can someone check it? It is simple. Primarily, when you are buying a phone just make sure that you are buying from the right store like myG where they sell only genuine products. Another way is to see whether there is an IMEI number (International Mobile Equipment Identity) on the packaging. IMEI is a unique identification code for smartphones. It can be also seen by dialing *#06# from your mobile dial-pad. But if you are certain of the quality of the store then there is no need to check further.

2. Operating System

It is all about your preferences when it comes to operating systems. The majority of the phones come in the Android operating system. On the other hand, Apple phones come in iOS operating systems. iOS is renowned for its security and neat integration with other Apple products. But there are various versions of these operating systems. So make sure the smartphone you are looking to buy is of latest android version.

3. Display and Design

As phones nowadays are equipped with crisp displays and come in sleek designs, there is not much confusion in this area. Even though, If you are a gamer or watch movies regularly, it is better to buy phones that have a screen size of at least 5.5 inches otherwise, you will not get an immersive experience. It is also important to make sure that the screen resolution is high. Although, for normal uses smaller screens are sufficient. Thanks to technology, smartphones nowadays come with mostly good quality displays. When it comes to design, ensure that the phone is not extra bulky or heavy. Being so makes it difficult for you to handle. Also, make sure the screen is protected by gorilla glasses that can defend your screens efficiently from damages.

A Processor is the hub of a smartphone that betters the performance of it. With a good processor, you can easily multitask and get a seamless usage. So, it is important to check whether the phone has the right processor that meets your needs. The more cores a processor has the better performance is furnished. Processors come in various models like Qualcomm, MediaTek, Kirin, Exynos, etc. If you are looking for a performance-centric phone then ensure that you select one with a strong Processor. When the processor is coupled with a decent RAM of at least 2GB then you can say good-bye to stuttering.

5. Storage

Running short on space can be irritating and it can affect the performance of a smartphone. A good percent of the storage space is pre-occupied with system files and applications. So it is always better to opt for Smartphones with a decent storage capacity. That way, it enables you to store a dozen of any high-sized data and it helps in the long run. Or you can choose a phone that comes with a dedicated SD slot or hybrid slot in which you can insert an SD card to expand your storage. If you feel that you will not require much space then you can opt for a phone with a smaller space so you can save some penny.

6. Battery

Smartphones used to get drained easily before. But most of the phones in the market now are equipped with strong batteries, though the power differs. The higher mAh gives you better battery backup. There are even phones which can last two days with one charge. If you are a hectic user who frequently watches high-quality videos and plays high-end games then it is better to choose a phone with a minimum of 3000mAh. It is ok if the mAh is slightly lower. However, the more power the less time you will need to charge it.

7. Camera

Let it be the rear camera or selfie camera, the higher megapixels can furnish you with better pictures. However, it is not just the megapixels that decide the quality of the picture. There are other factors like aperture, ISO levels, pixel size and a lot more that determines the image quality. The size of the image is bigger when the megapixel is higher and it is displayed sharper in small screens. If you are passionate about photography your phone should have a minimum of 12MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 or lower. Casual photography can be done with 8MP cameras.

8. Price

The price of the phone varies according to the company and the specifications. Whenever you spent money on phones, ensure that is spent right. Thankfully, we are bestowed with many ways to tackle the issue of lag and improve the performance of the laptop. Let us see the 10 ways to improve the performance of your Laptop.

1. Closing Tray Programs

Tray programs can be viewed by clicking the arrow placed on the bottom right side of your desktop. Having too many programs in your tray can cause lag to your system as it gets opened with the Windows once you turn on your Laptop and it runs in the background during your usage. If you want to close it, click on the arrow, then right-click on the application you want to close then select close. Easy-peasy!

2. Stop Programs Running on Startup

Just like the tray programs, there are other culpable programs that launch during the start-up that can potentially slow down your Laptop. Some of the programs like Windows applications might be necessary for your system performance, so it is important to make sure that you do not disable it. Apart from these programs, the rest can be disabled.

Access the Task Manager by pressing 'Ctrl+Alt+Delete' and navigate to the startup tab to get a list of applications that launches on your startup. You can view the impact of each application too in this tab. Disable those applications that are unnecessary and have high impact. To Disable simply select the application and click the 'disable' button. Disabling these programs here does not mean you are disabling it forever. The application gets disabled only during the startup.

3. Delete Unnecessary Files

When we use laptops for a long period there is a tendency for the files to get piled up and cram your hard drive. These files include the files we need as well as the Junk files or Temporary files. By accessing 'My Computer' you can view the free space left in each drive. If your Laptop becomes laggy just check whether your hard drive is free because the devoid of space can also make your laptop sluggish.

The deletion of junk files would do good to an extent. To delete it, go to run by pressing 'Windows button+R' and type “%temp%” in the text box that appears and press enter. A large number of junk files will appear. Select all and delete it.

It is recommended not to fill your hard drives by more than 70%. So it is better to be up-to-date in deleting and moving your files. Also, empty your system recycle bins regularly. If the files are really important to you, it is better to move it to an external hard drive instead of deleting it. You can check out the genuine external hard drives offered at myG stores.

4. Find Programs that Eat Up Resources

Your laptop might get laggy when some programs consume your resources extensively. You can identify them by going to the Task Manager. Press 'Ctrl+Alt+Delete' to access the task manager. Click 'More Details' to find the details of the programs that are running on your Laptop.

So click the header 'Memory' to sort the list as per the memory used. Now select the application that is sucking up your memory the most and click 'end task'. The application will be closed.

If you are a Windows 7 user you will need to search for System configuration instead of accessing Task Manager

5. Adjust Power

Thanks to Windows, they now come with options to adjust your laptop power. The power settings have three options such as Balanced, Power Saver and High Performance where Balanced is the default option. Setting it to High Performance can furnish you with a significant performance change. However, this option uses more energy.

To change your power settings to 'High Performance', go to your 'Control panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose high performance'.

6. Uninstall Programs You Don't Use

Our system may have numerous programs of various sizes. We sometimes will not realize how much space it takes up. Sometimes these applications might be the ones we never use. Or maybe they were installed a long time ago and you have forgotten about its existence. By going to 'Control Panel > Programs > Programs and features', you can view the list containing every program installed in your Laptop. Go through them and identify the one that you don't use and uninstall it. To Uninstall, just click on the application and select the uninstall option. By Uninstalling, your hard drives will be a little relieved, ergo the performance is enhanced.

7. Run a Disk Cleanup

Running a disk clean-up can clear the accumulated junk files which in turn better the performance of your laptop significantly. There is a built-in tool in Windows that serves the purpose. This Disk clean-up tool can be accessed by going to 'Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Disk Clean-up'. Select the files you want to get rid of and click OK. You can also clean the system files by selecting the files you want to clear in the 'Clean up system files' option.

8. Disk Defragment

The files get fragmented after a period of usage. When these fragments split up and move to different locations, the system now has to search every nook and corner for the pieces. This reduces the speed of your laptop. But with the Disk Defragment option in Windows, your system can weave that files back together thus it can run more efficiently. Windows 10, 8 and 7 have a scheduled automatic defragment feature but you can do it manually if you think it is necessary.

To do Disk Defragment Go to 'My Computer > right-click the hard drive' – normally named default as WINDOWS (C:). Now go to 'properties > tools > Optimize and defragment drive > click Optimize'. Make sure you are optimizing the HDD and not the SDD. To see how fragmented is an HDD, simply click it. Optimize it if it is more than 5%.

9. Adjust Graphics and Animations

It is quite obvious that your system can experience a performance drop if you enhance the graphic settings though it gives a better user experience. If your laptop is equipped with a high-end graphics card there will not be much issues. But for others, they can tweak the graphic options in order to improve system performance. Windows had made it simple to adjust these settings. Go to 'Control Panel>System and Security>System>Advanced system settings'. Now Go to 'performance' section and click settings to get a list of options. Select 'Adjust for better performance' option or you can specifically select the graphical effects from the list to be disabled. Either way, it helps to improve your system performance.

10. Check for Malware

If you are a person who surfs through the internet daily then you must check whether your computer has Malware. Malware is a comprehensive term used for all the malicious files that get emitted into your system through the internet or downloads. These files have the potential to bring serious damages to your whole system. Sometimes it slows down your PC. Thanks to the antivirus software like Kaspersky, McAfee, etc, your system can be fortified with the help of them. You can also scan your system to check whether there is any sort of malicious files present in your system.

Once you have revived the performance of your system by the above-mentioned ways, it is better to keep a habit of cleaning your laptop every month or week to not to experience lackluster performance.

APPLE'S CARBON-FREE ALUMINUM PRODUCTS WILL BE OUT SOON
13/01/2020

Apple has taken a giant step in contributing to the green earth by buying a batch of carbon-free Aluminum from the Alcoa-Rio joint venture (Elysis) - Two of the world's largest aluminum suppliers. Aluminum is a material widely used for manufacturing not only just soda cans but also numerous products like smartphones, tablets, laptops, TVs, etc. The smelting process of Aluminum results in the emission of Carbon dioxide, ergo it can pollute the atmosphere. In the present era where the world is witnessing many natural calamities, the initiative taken by Apple to reduce the impact of climate change deserves praise. Apple will be soon using this to manufacture their products.

Holding 8.1% of Earth's crust, Aluminum has been widely used for over 130 years. Mining, casting, and smelting Aluminum emit a lot of carbon. In fact, 1% of annual global greenhouse gas emission is accounted for Aluminum alone. Apple has not yet revealed which products will be made by this carbon-free material and when it will be rolled out.

Why This Is A Good Move?

Earth is witnessing a serious climate change and over the past few years, there has been an umpteen number of natural disasters. The excess presence of carbon is the reason for climate change. There are even protests happening globally to lessen the production of carbon. Apple who has come forward to reduce the carbon footprints made by Aluminum deserves a big round of applause. The step taken by Apple by buying a batch of carbon-free Aluminum is huge.

This is said to be a positive move because the traditional way of producing Aluminum is carbon-intensive. It is made by refining bauxite ore to get aluminum oxide and smelting the oxide to set free pure aluminum. This smelting process passes an electric current through a large chunk of carbon known as anodes, hence creating carbon dioxide. But the new smelting process created by Elysis is a carbon-free method that substitutes the carbon anodes with a ceramic anode, thus releasing oxygen instead of carbon dioxide. When everyone is thinking about how to make earth carbon negative, Apple has taken a giant leap towards it.

An Inspiration To All

“Little drops make the mighty ocean”. The decision taken by Apple is exemplary. It not only contributes to tackling carbon-related issues but also tempts others to do so. Though the impact made by producing Aluminum in the latest way is positive, it may not straightway make a huge difference but it can pave way for it. The move by Apple is inspirational, it helps us lessen the impact of carbon and thus it tends others to follow them. If everybody starts holding hands for this cause it can lead to big differences.

It is uncertain when the Apple products made by carbon-free aluminum will be released. However, we can expect that it will be rolled out in the vicinity as the climate change is getting intensive each day. Once Apple rolls out these products, it will be available soon at myG – The emerging online shopping store in India.
